Detailed insights and comprehensive analysis to help your food business stay compliant.
The NSW Food Authority (NSWFA) is the state government agency responsible for food safety and food regulation in New South Wales. It operates under the Food Act 2003 (NSW) and works in partnership with local councils to enforce the Food Standards Code.
The NSWFA manages the Scores on Doors program — a voluntary disclosure scheme where food businesses display their inspection score (1–5 stars) at their premises. A high score demonstrates compliance and builds customer trust. Participating in the scheme is voluntary, but many councils now incentivise participation.
AMES Food Advisory helps businesses achieve and maintain the compliance standards needed for top Scores on Doors ratings.
