Transparent pricing

Fixed prices.
No surprises.

Every engagement is quoted at a fixed price before work begins. You know exactly what you're paying — and what you get — before signing anything.

How it works

Three stages — start anywhere

Most clients begin with a free scoping call. Some jump straight to the site audit. A few come in with a specific program in mind. All paths lead to the same outcome: a compliant food business.

Stage 0 — Free
Initial Consultation
$0
20-minute phone or video call to understand your situation.
  • Business type & size scoped
  • Compliance risk level assessed
  • Written gap summary sent after call
  • Right package recommended
Stage 1 — Paid
Site Audit & Gap Report
$450
On-site visit plus written professional gap report on AMES letterhead.
  • Premises walkthrough
  • Existing FSP/HACCP reviewed
  • Temperature & records checked
  • Staff practices observed
  • Verbal debrief on the day
  • Written gap report within 48hrs
$450 credited toward any package
Stage 2 — Fixed price
Compliance Program
From $1,500
Full engagement — HACCP, SOPs, training, and ongoing advisory.
  • Essentials, Start-Up, or Manufacturer
  • Add-ons as required
  • Optional ongoing retainer
  • $450 audit credit applied

The $450 site audit is the most valuable $450 you'll spend before an inspector walks through your door. The gap report does the selling — you decide what to fix, and when.

Pricing questions

Common questions

If your question isn't here, the free scoping call is the fastest way to get an answer.

Why fixed prices instead of hourly rates? +
Hourly billing creates uncertainty. You don't know what you'll pay until the invoice arrives, and it creates the wrong incentive — the consultant benefits from taking longer. Fixed pricing means you know your full cost before work begins, and I have every reason to work efficiently.
What happens if my scope changes mid-project? +
If the scope changes materially from what was agreed, we discuss it before I proceed. Any variation is quoted in writing first. You're never hit with a surprise invoice for work you didn't authorise.
Is the $450 site audit really credited back in full? +
Yes — in full, with no conditions attached. If you proceed with any package after the site audit, $450 is deducted from your invoice. The audit is designed to give you independent, professional advice about what you need. You're never obligated to proceed.
Do prices include GST? +
All prices shown are exclusive of GST. GST will be itemised on your invoice where applicable.
How long does a typical engagement take? +
The Essentials package typically takes 1–2 weeks from site visit to delivery. Start-Up Package 2–4 weeks. The Manufacturer Compliance package 4–6 weeks depending on complexity. Timeframes are confirmed in writing before commencement.
Do you travel outside Greater Sydney? +
Yes — I work across all of NSW. Travel outside Greater Sydney is discussed upfront and any supplement is quoted before the engagement begins. Nothing is added after the fact.
Can I start with just the site audit and decide later? +
Absolutely. The site audit and gap report is a complete standalone service. Many clients use it to understand their compliance position before deciding whether — and how — to proceed. You're never pressured to commit to a package on the day.
