Food safety complexity at scale
A single-site cafe needs one Food Safety Program. A restaurant group operating five locations needs five FSPs — each site-specific, each reflecting the equipment, layout, and menu of that location, but all consistent in quality and approach. A central production kitchen supplying multiple sites adds a further layer of complexity: the central kitchen is itself a food business requiring its own FSP, and the transport of food to each site introduces additional HACCP control points.
What AMES provides for restaurant groups
Food Safety Supervisor requirements for multi-site groups
Each site in a restaurant group must have a certified Food Safety Supervisor in place under Standard 3.2.2A. For groups with high staff turnover, maintaining a pipeline of FSS-certified staff across all locations is an operational challenge. AMES can help establish an FSS certification program for your group, including pre-certification training for nominated candidates at each site.
